Big Stride
I can't believe that I am more than halfway done with the word count requirement! I've just been writing like it's going out of style. Unfortunately, the story is still in the beginning of it. GAHH!!! Why can't I ever keep my story within the confines of the requirements? Oh well!
I've hit a slow point in my novel because a friend in the wrimo dared me to start writing about the villian of my story. The villian, Stark, made a guest appearance in the second chapter, and he will resurface for a bit in Chapter nine where I learned that he has a first name and that he actually has a day job, but I haven't figured out why he wants the "Shiny Thing" and what the "Shiny Thing" will do. I've decided to just follow Wesley's point of view unless I absolutely have to break away. More will be posted later!

That sounds like fantastic progress! Even if the plot is near the beginning, at least you can take comfort in the fact that you won't run out of stuff to write for quite a while.
